Ghana is renowned for its warm hospitality, rich cultural heritage, and it’s a vibrant democracy. Beneath the surface of its, stunning natural beauty, and friendly smiles there are some hidden truths we don’t know about.

1. Historical Secrets

In Ghana, we mostly talk about our past and we are very proud of it. But still, we think there are hidden truths we need to know about the slave trade, colonialism and political coups.

2. Spiritual Secrets

According to the 2021 government census on state.gov approximately 71 percent of the population are Christian, 20 percent Muslim, 3 percent adhere to indigenous or animistic religious beliefs, and 6 percent belong to other religious groups or have no religious beliefs

2. Religious Truth

In the case of religious truth, one deals with propositional truth, i.e. religious statements by the Bible are considered as the word. But most people also don’t believe the Bible because they don’t see its relevance.

3. Environmental degradation

We always show the beautiful places in Ghana but there are so many things going on behind the scenes such as illegal mining activities (galamsey) contaminating rivers and water sources, harming aquatic life and human health.

Inadequate waste management and single-use plastics choke waterways, harm wildlife and affect human well-being.

4. The hidden truth about apprenticeship

.Apprenticeships offer a unique and invaluable opportunity for young people to bridge the gap between their education and future careers of their choice. Most people learning career do not finish their term but others do.

In Ghana, these young people do not take their master’s blessing before they leave and this goes against them a lot in life.

5. Language

There are over 70 different indigenous languages spoken in Ghana, with Akan, Ewe, Ga, and Dagbani being the most widely spoken. Akan is spoken by nearly half of the population, making it the most widely spoken indigenous language in Ghana. Wikipedia says Twi has more than 18 million speakers.

6. Beautiful Places to visit

According to source from google Ghana is part of the top African 10 countries that have beautiful places to travel to and also have your most memorable time here.

When they come to Ghana we welcome them well and this makes them feel at home feels to stay for a longer period.

7. Marriage

In Ghana, the law requires individuals intending to marry to give notice to the marriage registrar in the district where the marriage will take place for processing. However, many people in Ghana get married every day without notifying the government.
