Ghanaian Dancehall Shatawale artist for the past few weeks has been jabbing his fellow dancehall artist Stonebwoy on his platforms and other platforms.
In one of his recent jabs, he made a statement that Stonebwoy is a curtain-raiser since he allows himself to be paid 10,000 dollars while Burnabwoy gets 300,000 dollars, and for that matter, there is no way Stonebwoy will be treated as Wizkid, Davido, and Burnabwoy.
“You allow yourself to be paid 10,000 while Burna gets 300,000. Did you expect to be treated as an important person? You are just a curtain raiser, you will never get the same platform as Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy”. He stated.
Meanwhile, in an interview, there was a discussion about the statement made by the “Ayoo” hitmaker, Arnold shared his furiousness about the statement.
Arnold in his opinion stated that there is nothing bad about being a curtain raiser. During Global Citizen Stonebwoy was a curtain raiser and it did not affect his music career negatively.
During the discussion, Arnold raised a claim made by Shatawale that Wizkid and Davido are the eyes of African music. He however added that, if Shatawale had made this claim, what is his position in music?
“He said [Shata Wale] Wizkid is the eye, Davido is the eye, so what are you [shatawale], are you the eye or the ear, what are you?” He asked.
Speaking further he said if Stonebwoy is being paid 10,000 dollars has he complained to anyone? How much does Shatawale receive for performing in an event?
“You said they pay Stonebwoy 10,000 dollars, has he complained to you? How much are you receiving [shata wale]? Where you called for a show and you charged and you weren’t given the amount you charged?”
“If you want to put yourself in that positing of superiority, were you called? It’s not like you have been called and they decided to give you 1M dollars and said “I won’t take”. But you are turning around to query someone who has been called for a show and claim that he was given 10,000. So what are you in the music industry, What is your position” He said.
