Well, a customer avatar according to Forbes, is a detailed profile of your ideal customer. By this, we mean your customer avatar should focus on every detail or trait about your ideal customer. It gives you an idea of who your ideal customer is to be, and what your ideal customer could be potentially looking for from your product/ Service.
Steps to create a customer Avatar for your small Business
Designing a well-functioning customer avatar can help draw a targeted customer reach for your small business which makes marketing very easy. Here are three(3) steps you can use to design a functioning customer avatar for your business.
- Gather personal information on your ideal customer: To know is the right fit for the product or services, you have to draw a plan stating your current customer’s name, age, work, gender, geographic location, blogs, how they spend most of their time, etc. This will help you target a group of people related to this information.
- identify their goals and objectives: What are the goals and objectives of your customers? Does your business fits their goals and objectives?, What do your customers want to achieve. Eg. personal development, write a book, make sales online etc.
- identify the challenges of your customer and how well your product can be beneficial for them: you should also be able to identify the challenges your customers are facing and how your product could help them along the way. you should also note that stating the challenges should focus on the kind of problems your business can solve.
