In a society where it was once believed that only the male child that needed to be educated, and as such most corporate jobs were dominated by males, it is exhilarating to see women, particularly black women, break the bias and rise to the top both on the national and global scale. It is refreshing to see women entering professions in tech-related fields such as science, technology, engineering, and maths.
This is one of the many reasons why the international community has designated March as a month to honor women all over the world who are breaking barriers and setting new standards globally.
These women inspire and mentor the younger generation of females that no matter how difficult and intimidating the tech industries may be, young women, particularly young Ghanaian women can work and achieve great success in this sector.
In light of this, and of the recently celebrated International Women’s Day (IWD), thatmytechhubghseeks to highlight Ghanaian women who are accomplishing amazing things in the field of technology and also to commend their successes and encourage young girls why we need more women in tech.
