Ghanaian content creator Jeffery Nortey, popularly known as Storm, is mainly known for his funny skit which throws a spotlight on African women’s huge backside and unveils where his motivation comes from.
In an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz Fm, Jeffery recalled the journey of his content creation career and unveiled that he never wanted to do comedy content. His priority was to be an actor.
According to him, he was not getting scripts from producers in the early stages of his career, which gave him the idea to start writing his own script, which has brought him to his current status.
According to him, he realized Ghanaian celebrities knew him when Don Jazzy, posted one of the videos of his skits and saw applauding comments from Ghanaian celebrities. However, he lamented that, for all this while these celebrities knows him and never came to his dm to say those words to him.
“Last year, Don Jazzy posted my video, to me it was a big deal, I mean it is still a big deal to me, and I saw Ghanaians with the blue bar celebrities, commenting under the post. And I was like I am here, come and tell me all that, why are you there commenting under that post, come so you know me. Come on my page and tell me all these positive things. It is gonna go a long way to help me”. He said.
Speaking further, he gave a shout-out to Ghanaian musicians Kofi Kinaata and Fameye for their words of encouragement.
“Big shout out to Kofi Kinaata and Fameye I have not seen them before, but they always come like, we are creatives and we know what you are doing.”
He also shared how Nigerians encouraged and assured him they are going to make him thrive and succeed in his career.
“When the Nigerians come to my dm, these are the things they say “Omo make you nor shake na we wey we go blow you”. They appreciate what I am doing. Content in Nigeria is a big deal”. He stated.
