It is a rare occurrence in the music industry when an upcoming artist releases a refix of a song that in no time captures listeners’ hearts and minds and goes viral.
Such is the case of an up-and-coming artist who recently release a song titled “Alomo Gata” which is trending on some social media platforms. The song is a refix of Noble Adu Kwasi’s ‘Akwankwaa Hiani’.
“Alamo Gata” is now the song used by many Tiktokers in their content and countless dance challenges inspired by the track’s irresistible lyrics and beat. Other social media platforms were ablaze with enthusiastic comments, with others astonished as to how the song is viral.
In an interview with Bryce Nana Kwesi, Aligator disclosed that he has been making many freestyles on many songs and had no idea “Alomo Gata” will go viral.
In the interview, Aligator was asked if he has paid the necessary respect to the originator of the song Adu Kwasi. “Yeah exactly I freestyle a lot so I didn’t know this thing was going get where it is going now, so when I realize that it was going viral, that is what I did first I hit him up [Adu Kwasi], he was a big man so I hit him up l”. He responded.
Speaking further he said, “I am yet to have more conversations with him to make sure that certain things are done properly”.
According to the Alomo Gata hitmaker, Adu Kwasi had no idea about the refix but he was glad and showered prayers on him to do well. “ He didn’t even know what is happening with the song, so when I told him he was like yoo seriously. He is very excited about it and prayed for me.” He said.
