After several months of testing, WhatsApp has now enabled its multi-devices functionality. Although the feature is still in its beta testing stage, it is worth noting that this will be one of WhatsApp’s biggest updates in the past few years.
The remarkable thing about this update is that you can use WhatsApp on four(4) different devices simultaneously. You will not have to worry about keeping the connection active on other devices because each of these devices will connect to your WhatsApp account independently.
Once you join the multi-device beta, you can use WhatsApp on up to four linked companion devices at once without the need to keep your phone connected. This feature works well without losing any of your chats or media. Messages are still end-to-end encrypted by WhatsApp.
Although the stable version is yet to be announced by WhatsApp in the coming weeks, users can still join the beta test to try new functionality before the full release. The multi-device beta is an opt-in program that gives you early access to try a new version of WhatsApp for Web, Desktop, and Portal.
