Ghana rapper Medikal made headlines on all social media platforms when he announced his breakup with his wife Fella Makafui, and that she is just his baby’s mother all that they are doing in the current marriage is co-parenting.
This got many social media users surprised and had many Ghanaians talking about it, with many voicing their opinions on what the rapper posted.
This did not end here as Medikal confidently confirmed on various interviews he has attended on different platforms.
In an interview on 3Music, Medikal stressed again that their relationship is over, and Fella Makafui now holds the title of his ‘baby mama, and that he does not mind performing at Fella’s wedding.
“We were disagreeing on many things, and that’s how it was. The love may have faded, but she remains my baby mama. Even if she marries someone else, I will still perform at her wedding. It’s all about love, and I have a child with her. She is a great person, despite our disagreements,” he stated.
Medikal has covered Fella’s tattoo on his arm and during a conversation on 3 Music TV when asked about the tattoo he explained that it was because he didn’t want his future partners to see it during intimate moments.
“This is a bit personal; I don’t want my next girlfriend or wife to see my baby mama’s name while we’re being intimate,” he remarked.
This got more serious when Fella Makafui was also observed by social media users that she had unfollowed Medikal on her ‘X’ account.
But here comes the question, is it part of these celebrities’ clout-chasing games, and they are just seeking attention from Ghanaians for something they want to do?
This could truly be one of their clout-chasing games purposely for Medikal’s event at the O2 concert he would be hosting on May 3, 2024, do you think this is a coincidence, that the two are having a misunderstanding as the concert is almost due?
This clout-chasing game is evidently seen in Fella Makafui’s comment about their marital status on the Onua TV show with Nana McBrwon when she said everything is fine in their marriage and she will always be there to support Medikal.
She underlined that, as she has always done during their relationship, she intends to support him in the UK.
“I will be in the UK to support him,” she stated, referring to Medikal’s preparations for his upcoming show.
Is it also a Marketing strategy to keep the event relevant and to keep it ringing in the minds of Ghanaians? These are questions we need to ask ourselves because there is no reason for couples to have different views about their marital status.
