Being Younger Is Not A Flex – Mr. Drew Hits Back At Kuami Eugene Over Bullying Claim.

The Ghanaian music industry has recently seen controversy between two prominent artists, Mr. Drew, and Kuami Eugene, regarding a copyright dispute over the song “Case.”

The dispute, initially sparked by Kuami Eugene’s claims of unpaid royalties for his contribution to the creation of “Case,” has taken a heated turn with Mr. Drew hitting back at his colleague’s remarks.

Kuami Eugene had previously aired his grievances about not receiving acknowledgment or royalties for his supposed role in writing a part of the song “Case” for Mr. Drew, prompting him to pursue legal action to claim what he believed was rightfully his.

In a recent interview on Day Show with Berla Mundi on TV3, Kuami Eugene explained his rationale for pursuing legal recourse specifically against Mr. Drew, highlighting a perceived disparity in treatment between different artists.

The singer clarified that while he refrained from pursuing legal action against the group “Keche” despite allegedly not receiving his due share for co-writing “No Dulling,” a track he featured on, he felt justified in seeking legal action against Mr. Drew.

Kuami Eugene justified this decision by asserting his seniority in the industry compared to Mr. Drew, stating, “They came before me, Mr. Drew might be older than me but I came before him, so I can bully him.”

Mr. Drew took to social media, specifically his “X” handle, to address Kuami Eugene’s statements, labeling him a “liar” and saying that being younger than someone is not a thing one should boast of.

“Aside from the fact that he’s a liar, who made him think being younger than someone is a flex? Jon boy,” Mr. Drew’s posted.
