The KKT hitmaker who was so confident about his work and project he has undertaken in the music industry took to social media on 3rd May to express his confidence and campaign for VGMA votes, on his Facebook account.
The fast-rising young musician has been crowned the Artist of the Year on the 24th edition of the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Award.
In the Artiste of the Year category, Black Sherif competed against Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, King Promise, Camidoh, Kidi, Piesie Esther, and Joe Mettle.
The now reigning artist of the year won other two awards which include; the Vodafone popular song of the Year with his “Kweku the Traveller” song and Best HIP-HOP Song of the Year with the same song.
Looking out at the audience with gratitude in his heart he said “This is crazy because four years ago I was in my final year at Kumasi Academy and four years after see me here, song of the year, this is for my family, for Konongo Zongo, I love you guys so much, blessings.”
