Black Sherrif Welcomed With Police Arrest From His Tour.

Ghanaian Musician Black Sheriff was arrested at the Kotoka Internation Airport on his return from an European tour.

On Wednesday 19th July 2023, the Ghanaian superstar was captured in a video that went viral on social media platforms being arrested by Ghana Police.

This was mainly because a cruise ship musical performance had expressed interest in Ghana’s current 24th VGMA artist of the year, Black Sherrif, and decided to book him for their event in Greece.

However, the cruise company reported to the Police, claiming that the singer’s agency did not perform their part of the contract even after taking huge sums.

The contract did not specify that promotional videos for a press launch were necessary, but according to material that has found its way online, a 20,000-dollar first deposit was paid.

But the cruise organizer later demanded the promotional videos which were not part of the contract, this led to threatening contract cancellation if not provided, forcing Black Sheriff’s agent to refund the initial deposit.

The complainant insisted on being reimbursed 50,000 dollars instead of the initial 20,000 dollars, leading to further disputes and threats.

This caused the arrest of Black Sheriff at the airport upon his return from a successful European tour to assist in the investigation.

The issue appears to be a disagreement between the cruise organizers and Black Sheriff’s agency, rather than the artist’s commitment to the event. Black Sheriff’s lawyers are working to find a solution to the issue.
