For his work on stage, he received an AUDELCO and a Drama League Directing Fellowship. In 2003, Boseman made his television debut on the series Third Watch. He has had appearances on Lincoln Heights and Law & Order. He was unveiled to the world as having stage III colon cancer in 2016. While performing, he had many surgeries and chemotherapy.

6. Michael K. Williams (1966-2021)

Michael Kenneth Williams was a renowned television actor known for his roles on The Wire and The Road. He was discovered by Tupac Shakur and made his feature film debut in Bullet. Williams appeared in Bringing Out the Dead, The Road, and Life During Wartime. He died on September 6, 2019, from a drug overdose of fentanyl-laced heroin in his penthouse apartment. 7. Stephen Boss (1982-2022)

She was the first female African-American actor on television to portray a starring role. Actress and model Viola Nicholas passed away in Silver City, New Mexico, in 2022 at the age of 89 due to heart failure. In 1984, she was awarded the NASA Public Service Award and became the first African-American actress to make an impression in Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.

11. Jak Knight (1993-2022)

Jak Knight was a well-known stand-up comedian, novelist, and voice actor from Black-ish and Big Mouth. He also voiced DeVon. On July 14, 2022, he was discovered dead in Los Angeles; it is believed that he had shot and murdered himself. Celebrities and viewers of Netflix’s Bigmouth paid homage to the deceased actor on social media after his death caused a sensation.

12. Roger E. Mosley (1938-2022)

Renowned actor, director, and writer Roger E. Mosley was well known for his portrayal of helicopter pilot Theodore in the television series Magnum P.I. Although Mosely had a true pilot’s license, he was not permitted to pull off stunts.
