How To Check SSNIT Statement of Account Online

The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) is one of the biggest non-bank financial institutions in Ghana. Charged under the National Pensions Act 2008, Act 766, SSNIT is public trust in charge of the management of Ghana’s Basic National Social Security Scheme.

Currently, there are several private sector companies providing pension schemes for workers like Enterprise Trustees, Axix Pension Trust, etc. But apart from all these companies, SSNIT is the main agency in charge of pension contribution collection in Ghana.




Previously, people had to join long queues at the various SSNIT offices across the country to check their statements. Due to technological advancement in the 21st century, it has become necessary for SSNIT to develop a system where people can check their statements online.

Because of that, this article is going to show you how you can check your SSNIT statements online without having to visit any office. Continue reading to find out how.

How to Check SSNIT Statement Online

Before you can check your SSNIT statement online, you must have a portal identification number that will be used to log into the portal. If you have one already then you can proceed, otherwise, you have to request one from SSNIT.

  1. Open a browser on your device and type www.ssnit.org.gh in the address bar

  2. Log in to the portal with your username and password

  3. Click on My Statement

  4. On the next page, you will have to enter your security credentials

  5. Now you can check your contribution so far and your benefits

  6. Depending on what you want to do with it, you can choose to download it on your device or print it

How do I check my SSNIT Number?

If you’ve linked your SSNIT and Ghana card, your Ghana card number is now your SSNIT number. You can also login to the SSNIT online portal to check your membership number, or walk into all ssnit offices nationwide to find out your SSNIT number
