You’ll all agree with me that there has been recent climate change that has abused the rise in temperature in the weather.

As much as the rains come to warn the weather, the temperature of the weather keeps rising, thereby causing uneasiness and discomfort for us to cope with.

The repercussions of continuous climate change have become too serious. This has affected us in many aspects of our daily lives.

It will surprise you to know that, the vibrant heat or weather temperature is caused by some human activities. These activities need to be attended to, and when stopped, they can help decrease the weather temperature for our comfort and easy movement.

6 Activities That Produce Heat

Let’s take a look at some human activities that contribute to climate change hence producing heat.

1. Deforestation:

We all know that trees are one of the most important things on the planet Earth. They provide us with oxygen and fresh air. It also aids in climate amelioration; trees provide shade from the sun.

Trees control the effects of the sun, rain, and wind. They help preserve warmth by providing a screen for the unfriendly weather. The leaves of the tree also absorb and reduce the radiation of the sun to help keep the weather cool during hot temperatures. Trees also lower the air temperature and reduce the heat intensity of the greenhouse effect by maintaining low levels of carbon dioxide

When they’re cut down without replanting, it takes away shade, hence producing more intensive heat. It also ceases the provision of fresh air and carbon dioxide. The soil loses its moist state, causing it to produce heat.

2. Nitrogen:

Using fertilizers that contain nitrogen is a dangerous thing. This is because the use of nitrogen can cause people to lose their lives. Fertilizers containing nitrogen produce nitrogen oxide emissions, which are harmful and deadly to the body. It is also known as “slow poison.”

Nitrogen fertilizers can be oxides that lose their nutrients to the air and become nitrous oxide when overused. Nitrous oxide helps in global warming and it stays in the atmosphere for over 114 years.

This emission causes climate change if not reduced, will prevent us from reaching the net zero target, which is so important if we are to mitigate the worst impacts of climate change.

3. Coal, gas, and oil production:

Too much of all these can cause heat in the system through the production of carbon dioxide. As humans, we breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide, so when carbon dioxide is produced into the atmosphere by the excessive production of coal, gas, and oil, it conflicts with each other, thereby causing lots of heat to enter the atmosphere.

4. Food Production:

Climate change

Food production produces more emissions of carbon dioxide, methane, and other greenhouse gases in various ways. Grazing and digestion by cows and other farm animals, the use of fertilizers for crop production, and the use of energy to run farm equipment or fishing boats.

5. Building of Houses:

Climate change

Most buildings consume electricity and natural gas for heating and cooling. They discharge quite a number of greenhouse gas emissions. Energy growth requires heating and cooling with the rising air temperature. These things will generate more heat in the atmosphere.

Generating Power

Climate change

Most electricity is generated by burning coal, gas, or oil which produces carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide. Generating heat and electricity by burning fossil fuels creates a huge amount of global emissions. Powerful greenhouse gases cover the earth and trap the sun’s heat. More than half of electricity comes from wind, solar, and other renewable sources, which is in contrast to fossil fuels and releases little to no greenhouse gases or pollutants into the air.
