Do you have what it takes?

To have what it takes means someone who has the skill, and intelligence and works hard. Most youths tend to rely so much on their talent that they end up in the mud, but the truth is you play hard and give yourself a chance in your career choice.

There are many instances where hundreds of teammates or colleagues may be in the same space working where their productivity differs from each other and, that should help you understand the difference between talent and hard work.

Of course, if you are talented and hardworking it shows your viability. But there are many instances where people do not reach their full potential, only because they do not want to work hard, the talent might be there, and sometimes the love and passion of what you want to do, but it still requires hard work.

There is no cheating in the process to reach your full potential, that is if you want to be good at what you are doing and to ensure you can be better at it. This follows the question of what I have to do daily to become better at what I am doing.

People say that you need a mentor or a teacher, but it is not always like that, sometimes all that you have to do is reach out to those things yourself and seek the information.

You have to have perseverance because it is not every day you are going feel like doing what you have been doing, you are not going to feel that edge every day, and with moments like this, all that you need is the character of perseverance to keep you doing what you have been doing being it your career or anything else and this is what it takes to be successful in whatever you do.

You see so many people leave their talent on the table, and sometimes this can be either a gift or a curse because you can be very talented and make nothing out of it.

This can be a bit tricky because you might think the talent is going to be there forever and you don’t have to try so hard, but so many people have worked hard and have gained a seat at the table because of the good work ethic.

Learning how to work with others helps you reach your full potential, don’t stay isolated in what you do, you might think you are the best in what you do, but I bet you go out there and join a team you will realize you have a lot to learn at what you think you are best at.

Working together with people makes you realize the need to work with people to get things done. Because you know everyone and what they are best at, you could realize you end up learning from each member of the team.

Sometimes or most times you become frustrated at what you are doing, and it’s fine it shows you are still in the process and have to embrace the concept of “Yes I am a beginner”. You don’t have to have a problem being a beginner, because this concept helps you to figure out things on your own as you learn.
