Efya Speaks on Why She Can’t Perform With Wizkid on Big Stages

Ghanaian musician Efya explains why she can not perform with Wizkid on an international platform despite her close relationship with the Nigerian artist.

Renowned pundit and CEO of Bullhaus Entertainment, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, publicly known as Bullgod raised a concern about why Ghanaian musicians Efya and R2Bees do not join the Nigerian artist Wizkid on the international platform despite their close relationship with him.

In a tweet, Bullgod tweeted on his Twitter account that, when Wizkid visits Ghana, Efya and R2 Bees, will smoke and chill with him but can’t join him on international platforms to exhibit their talent to the world.

“R2Bess and Efya will smoke, drink and chill with Wizked anytime he’s in Ghana but can’t join him on international stages and showcase their talents to the world”. He tweeted.

“Again Ghana missed out on national duties at the 62,850 capacity Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, yesterday”.

This sparked a lot of controversies on social media platforms, with many blushing Bulldog for making this comment.

However, Efya who got furious about the comment took to social media to voice out her concern. She explains some challenges that make it impossible to join Wizkid on international stages. She also went on to elaborate that factors such as conflict schedules, prior commitments, and logistical constraints, also contribute to the reason why she can not join Wizkid on international performance.

“When it comes to performing on big stages, there are various factors involved that people may not be aware of. Scheduling conflicts, prior commitments, and logistical constraints sometimes make it challenging to accompany Wizkid on every single performance. It doesn’t diminish my dedication or the fact that I have also played on countless international stage”. She tweeted.

“As an artist, I have a multifaceted career that encompasses my own music, projects, and obligations. While I value my friendship and artistic connection with Wizkid, I also have my own aspirations and commitments in the music industry. It is essential to strike a balance and prioritize professional growth and individual endeavors.”

“It is disheartening to be ridiculed based on misunderstandings and assumptions. I hope this thread provides clarity and sheds light on the intricacies of the music industry. Let us focus on celebrating each other’s achievements rather than perpetuating unnecessary controversies,” she cautioned.
