Another database expert Troy Hunt who is the creatorhave i been pawned, an online cybersecurity tool used to search for data breaches has also had his say about this data breach. He believes nothing shows that the data collected isn’t legit, hence he emphasized how particularly the phone numbers nicely arranged according to countries could be useful to hackers to send SPAMs to these phone numbers. Hunt has uploaded all the data on his website,Have i been pawned, you could check to see whether your personal data was also compromised.
This isn’t the first time Facebook’s data has been compromised. Facebook experienced a similar breach in January of this year, but the database containing the compromised data was sold using an automated Telegram bot. The only difference this time is that anyone can obtain the data for free.
