Ghanaian comedian Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, publicly known as Funny Face, recently disclosed the challenges he has faced, attributing difficulties in securing ambassadorial deals from companies to alleged sabotage by certain individuals.
Reflecting on events from the middle of the previous year, the comedian experienced mental health issues during which he made regrettable statements and displayed ingratitude towards Adeboyor, a significant contributor to his life and career.
These circumstances led to the loss of custody of his daughter to his wife, intensifying conflicts within his marriage. Subsequently, Funny Face’s life took a downturn, prompting his admission to a mental health hospital. Although he has now recovered, his life has not returned to normal.
Taking to social media, he expressed frustration over individuals disclosing his past struggles to companies, hindering potential ambassadorial deals. Acknowledging past mistakes, he appealed to those with knowledge of his history not to hinder his professional opportunities, emphasizing the valuable lessons learned and the need to secure financial stability for his daughters, whom he has not seen for four years.
He also lamented that one of her daughters Kimberlyn had not seen him before since she was born who turned 3 years old on 24 November.
In sharing his challenges, Funny Face cautioned the youth against ingratitude towards those who have aided them, underscoring the importance of valuing and learning from supportive individuals.
