The National Identification Authority (NIA) has now released the list of the registration centers located at their various districts offices for the registration of theGhana Card. Starting today, anyone who missed the mass registration of the Ghana Card can go to the district offices to register and get their Ghana card for free.
Meanwhile, the importance of the Ghana Card in the country has soared even higher when the Government announced that it will be the only document that can be used in thenational SIM Cards re-registration. Although you can register for yourGhana Card online, you will still visit the nearest district office to complete your Ghana Card registration or collection process.
Registration and updates of the Ghana Card at the various district offices are free. However, Ghanaians who are going to replace their missing Ghana Cards are required to pay a fee of GHS 30. Also, Registration officers from the NIA can come to yourhome and registerthe entire household at GHS 150 per applicant. You can also visit the nearest district office if you registered and you have still not received your Card.

Residents are through this medium informed that the NIA from 8th to 16th November 2021 are issuing Ghana cards to individuals who registered during the mass registration but could not receive their cards. From Monday 28th March 2022, Ghana Card correction and updates, Ghana Card verifications and Ghana Card replacements have been moved to the EL-WAK SPORTS STADIUM.
The NIA has also opened an additional Ghana Card registration center at the UNIVERSITY OF GHANA BUSINESS SCHOOL CAMPUS.
ALSO, the NIA Head office and the CAL BANK Head office still remain Ghana Card PREMIUM REGISTRATION CENTERS within Greater Accra for people who want premium Ghana card registration processes.
LASTLY the NIA wishes to inform the General public of plans towards moving card updates and replacements to the district centers.

I have tried severally to register at the registration centers for the very first registration, but because people go to sleep over there and I am a nursing mother who cannot sleep at the center, i was unable to register. I visited four times. The re-opening was worse i was at the GRA office in Ashiaman six times and at the tema office Nicholas plaza three times but any time i visited these centers the number of people who are already there at 6:00am or at times 5:30, it can not get to my turn.
Now my frustration is that this online registration is equally not working. Please kindly advise me on what to do to get my Ghana card. I am a worker who also needs to be at work.

Whiles, I understand your frustration with the whole Ghana Card registration process, I’d encourage you to be calm since the registration process will be running from now till everyone has a card in the country. Hold on and wait since that is the only available process for the registration. You can also visit other centers where there is the least congestion, like the University of Ghana registration center. please i have not been able to register for Ghana card, last week Friday i went to my district office which is Awutu Bereku to do the registration but due to the population over there as at that time, the officer in charge told me that there is one person who is in charge of doing the registeration so each day he will register only 1o people so we should go home and return on monday morning for them to count 50 peoples and booked a date for them. i want ask if there is a due date for the registration, i mean the free registeration.

Every district in Ghana has an office now and every center during the mass registration belonged to a district so kindly find out which district your center belongs to and visit that district office for your card

Card replacement can be done in any NIA district or regional office of your choice but at the moment only the head office is doing that… it will be announced when other offices start doing card replacement soon
For the *404# you’ll have to visit any of the NIA offices with your card so they check the validity of the card with their system first
It could be other problems but ours is to make sure your card is valid for use and that’s all we can do now
Please is Ghana card registration still ongoing in Accra? I tried to register in December but I just ended up wasting my time in a very long queue with my two month old baby. Ghana is doing all their best to grow by putting Ghana Card for the citizens of Ghana.
My perception on this is just simple, Government should open the centers for the people of Ghana by opening in it in our various polling stations, I think that one would help than doing it one on our various assemblies. I know those who doesn’t have Ghana Card are More than those who is having it in Ghana.
Opening it in our various polling stations would help Ghana, if not many people would not do it before it is closed due to crowdy and many issues

No, you are not supposed to pay any monies at the district. Also, appointments for the Ghana card is done only at the national headquarters. Registering the Ghana Card at the various districts is free.

I did my Ghana card in 2020 but did not receive it at that time . I have been to the district office at where I did it . I have been there since November 2021 when the district were created . Anytime I go there they tell me it’s not in . Just recently when I go there they tell me it’s not claimed , it’s has been claimed on several occasions . I went there just yesterday and they are telling me the card is missing . I told them to do another one for me if it’s possible because it’s not my fault that it’s missing at their office and the responses they gave me was not pleasant at all . They are now telling me again I should go home again they will call me . It’s like they are not serious in getting my card for me .I need the card urgently to process my documents and I have not registered for the sim too . I’m really frustrated .
