The just-ended ACON qualifiers match between Black Stars and Angola has brought Ghanaians joy. The game was at the Baba Yara sports Stadium in Kumasi on Thursday, 23rd March 2023 at 4:00 pm. Both teams played a draw match in the first half.
Inaki Williams forced goalkeeper Neblu to make a superb save in the 18th minute, and Mohammed Kudus was unable to capitalize on the rebound to give Ghana the lead in the first half.
Antoine Semenyo, was brought by Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton in the 69th minute, and the AFC Bournemouth forward scored in stoppage time to give Ghana a 1-0 victory.
The Black Stars’ tight win gave them a three-point lead over Palancas Negras with three games left in the group stage, while Palancas Negras fell to third. Antione Semenyo scored a beautiful goal in the second half of the game.
Angola will be relying on their home-field advantage as the two teams rematch in Luanda’s Estádio 11 de Novembro on 27th March 2023 to face Palancras Negras for the African Cup Of Nation qualifiers for the second time.
We hope as Black Stars have started, they will continue and qualifier for the African Cup Of Nations (AFCON) 2023.
