The last few months have seen many Ghanaians make a conscious attempt to engrave their names in the Guinness Book of Records, which have mostly been unsuccessful as they fail to follow the instructions provided by GWR.
Afua Asantewaa started her attempt earlier this year and took on the journey of Singer-A-Thon, which ended up being a failure, followed up by Chef Faila who also failed as she journeyed on the Cook-A-Thon attempt.
However, Abubakar Tahiru a Ghanaian forestry student studying at Auburn University, USA has managed to engrave his name as part of the record holders of the Guinness World Records.
Abubakar Tahiru is the current record holder of the most tree hugged by an individual in one hour.
In a video posted by TV3, according to discussions in the video, Abubakar Tahiru individually hugged specifically 1123 trees in one hour and successfully turned up to the current record holder of the most trees hugged by an individual in one hour.
