In January it was rumored that Ghanaian celebrity Moesha Boudong was down with severe illness, which saw many offering prayers and well wishes for her to recover. However, her illness was unknown to the public.
However, her brother Ebito confirmed on his X account, formerly Twitter, that his sister is battling with a stroke impairing her mobility and speech.
Ebito shared on social media a GoFundMe account established in his name reaching out to the public for financial assistance to cover Moesha’s mounting medical bills.
It was, however, surprising that some individuals donated a huge sum of money while others refused to give because of the past life she had and the things she said during interviews. To some, she did not live the life they expected of her as a result they refused to donate.
To the extent that certain individuals started posting her past interviews on social and things, she said concerning her life just to discourage people from donating.
In an interview on Hitz FM the Kwabena Kwabena lamented how certain individuals are always judgemental and never for once allow empathy to guide their decisions especially when it comes to helping others.
“How did she live her life, why are we so judgemental, this is very very unfortunate. Because at the end of the day, somebody is ill, somebody is in a situation where you need to feel some sympathy or have empathy. But is our space and I understand, I have had my fair share”. He said.
