By default, iPhones automatically choose the date and time for your device depending on your current location. But additionally, you can also manually change the date and time on your iPhone.
Date and time play a very serious role in our daily activities. When you wake up, go to work/school, eat, sleep is all determined by the time and date. For this reason, the wrong date and time on your iPhone can affect you negatively.
Even though it is very rare for someone to change the date and time on their iPhone, that doesn’t mean it is not possible. So, as a result, we have decided to write this short guide to walk you through the process of changing the date and time on an iPhone.
How To Change The Date And Time on iPhone
iPhones by default are set to automatic time and date. Therefore, you can change the date and time on your device, you first have to disable it. To do so, follow the steps below:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone
- Scroll down a bit and select General
- Choose Date and Time from the options (You have to scroll down a bit)
- Next to Set Automatically, turn off the toggle next to it
- Now that you have disabled the automatic date and time on the device, you can now change the time and date. To do so:
- Tap on the Date and select the date you want
- Next, click on the time and slide it until your preferred time is set
- That’s it, your data and time have now been changed on your iPhone.
NOTE: You can always go back to the same process and turn the set automatically feature back on by following the same process as the above. Just tap on the toggle next to Set Automatically and you are good to go.
