I Am Not Proud Of My Response To Yvonne Nelson – Sarkodie

Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie finally speaks on his “Try Me” song, which responded to an allegation of him insisting on aborting his pregnancy with Yvonne Nelson.

Yvonne Nelson launched her memoir themed “I Am Not Nelson’, where she raised the notion that the Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie impregnated her and insisted she aborts the pregnancy.

Sarkodie responded to the allegation made by Yvonne Nelson in his “Try Me” and stated that he was in a relationship with Yvonne Nelson.

However, Sarkodie used certain words in his response which caused controversies on social media platforms, and many Ghanaians were unhappy with the words he chose to use in response, whiles others were in support of it.

“You gotto tell the world every other n*gga you f*ck*d , you can’t just play the victim and paint a picture, like you were looking for love from all the d$$ks that you s@ked? Na me fiis3 boys a clocki with the baddest b*tch nanso s3na yenyinaa y3 sesa so s3 Cuban Links”. He said in the song

“Singing further, he said “ M3n be claimi good girl you are for the streets”.

However, in a recent interview, Ghana’s rap Landlord spoke on his single song “Try Me”. He stated that he was not proud of the song, it was just in a moment and that is how he felt in that moment.

“With this situation, I am not gonna sit here and say I am super proud of it, the thing is just in a moment how I felt whether being my true there should have been a way, you could have said it, that is why I don’t like to speak about it”.

Speaking further he said “This is a conversation between two people but then we could have a conversation if you wanna talk about it, ’cause it involves me as well. Because people know that Sark doesn’t speak. People think they could say something and know Sark is not gonna speak and is gonna go away with it”.

According to him, his team did not have any idea he was going to do a whole record on the issue at hand, he has to sneak to the studio to record the song, because he doesn’t want to hear any kind of advice.

“People think my team is in support of what I did or the record, none of them knew I did the record, because I was actually on tour when that happened”

“I sneaked into the studio to even record it, I didn’t let nobody hear. Because I didn’t want to hear any advice, I literally want to do what I felt at that point and face the consequences later on. It wasn’t like the whole team sat down and said it is good to go, I did it personally for myself”.
