Mzbell recently gave birth to her first child and has garnered much attention from Ghanaians, which prompted numerous interviews with the Ghanaian singer.

Mzbel’s stance isn’t merely a reactionary measure, but rather a reflection of the lessons she has learned from the recent departures of thriving record labels such as Wayne Chavis Record and Kaywa Record Label, which has substantially been affected after the departure of artists under their label.

These experiences prompted her to re-evaluate her approach and prioritize the well-being of her current roster of artists. By putting a temporary hold on signing new artists.

She emphasized that it is so painful to invest one’s love, energy, and money in the career of an artist, only for them to show unfaithfulness and disrespect.

She also shared her experience with one artist in the early stages of her record label.

“I have abdicated the record label for now, because you sign an artist on the record label and invest your energy, love, and money to help an artist. The artist wouldn’t allow his or her career to even grow to a certain level that he or she can do something on his or her own and would start disrespecting you and taking your issues around”. She explained.

“It has happened to me before; a female artist I signed to the record label, I took to places and everywhere I go, but later she misbehaved”. She added.
