I Started My Music Career Since 2008 Samini Did Not Discover Me- Kofi Kinaata.

Ghanaian musician and songwriter Martin King Arthur, popularly known as Kinnata, has expressed his gratitude to Samini for playing a pivotal role in his music career.

Every great artist has a turning point, a time when their brilliance is acknowledged and fostered. One such moment came when he was signed, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his career.

In an interview with 3FM, Kinaata shared some crucial moments of his music career journey, where he disclosed that the peak of his career was when he was signed to one of the most influential music groups, the High-Grade family.

According to him, Samini introduced him to a High-Grade family that no one knew and played a major role in his music career.

“I got signed up for the High-Grade family when no one knew me. It was Samini that they knew; I was just tagging along with Samini; hence his fans became automatically my fans,” he briefed the host.

The “Confession” hitmaker further explained that Samini gave him much exposure to bigger

platforms to perform, and sometimes goes beyond to add him to shows he has not been called upon to perform.

“When Chris Brown came to Ghana, I was now in Accra, and Samini brought me to the stage to perform for 3 to 4 minutes. He [Samini] takes me to shows, even shows I wasn’t billed for, he secures slot performances for me to do some freestyle. He gave me exposure because he is a bigger brand.,” he said

However, Kinaata sets the record straight that he was not discovered by Samini as he stated that he started doing rap and music way back in 2008 because he knew what he wanted to do.

“Discovery means an individual was doing something different on his own and you decide to choose a career for him because you thought the individual could do well in that particular career.

But with me [kinaata] I was doing rap and music way back in 2008 but he pushed me from one stage to the other”.He said.
