I Started My Studio In My Mother’s Kitchen-Kuami Eugene.

Ghanaian music sensation Kuami Eugene has opened up about the beginnings of his career, shedding light on a remarkable journey that started in the heart of his home his mother’s kitchen, which was transformed into a studio.

In an exclusive interview with Berla Mundi on the Day Show, the talented “Monica” hitmaker shared an insight, revealing that his venture into music production commenced at the tender age of 17. 

Recalling those early days, Kuami Eugene expressed a profound belief in his potential, citing the various creative pursuits he embarked upon at the age of 17 

At that youthful age, Kuami Eugene embarked on a dual role as both a songwriter and a music producer. Utilizing his mother’s kitchen transformed into a studio space, he honed his craft and started producing songs for renowned artists such as Luther and other gospel artists, contributing his skills behind the scenes in the music industry.

His talent for songwriting and producing caught the ears of gospel musicians, leading to opportunities that saw him collaborate with various prominent figures within the genre.

A pivotal moment in his career arrived when Kuami Eugene produced a track for a gospel artist, which gave room for more opportunities for him within the gospel music sphere. Soon, gospel artists sought his expertise, drawn by his talent and ability to craft compelling compositions.

However, the turning point came when the esteemed artist Luther visited Kuami Eugene’s studio for a featured song. The encounter proved to be a significant milestone as Luther was impressed by Eugene’s skills and fueled Kuami Eugene’s aspiration to pursue music as a career.

Reflecting on this transformative experience, Kuami Eugene expressed his joy at collaborating with Luther and acknowledged the pivotal role the encounter played in shaping his musical career.
