Incredible Zigi Apologizes For Saying “Artists Are Sleeping And Dancers Are Promoting Their Songs”

Ghanaian favorite dancer, Incredible Zigi apologizes for a comment he made that Ghanaian artists and dancers promote their songs for them.

In a phone interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, Incredible Zigi, shares the need to recognize Ghanaian dancers on bigger platforms such as the Vodafone Ghana Music Award and 3Music Awards.

He laments that Ghanaian dancers play a major role in promoting songs in the music industry, but more attention needs to be given to such great effort they invest in the music industry.

The “Pilolo” creator in the interview stated that many of the songs in Ghana are viral and making waves because of the dancers in Ghana, according to him many artists sleep somewhere while the dancers do the promotion of their songs for them.

“Most of these songs that are blowing and getting recognition here in Ghana, most of them are tailored by us dancers, we spend much time on social media, they are always posting to the song. It like the artist is sleeping somewhere and we are the ones blowing the song, I mean dancers need to be recognized, and dance goes in hand with music, music goes in hand with dance. So I feel dancers need to recognize on a big platform which is VGMA and maybe 3music and the rest”.

Speaking further he said, that dancers also help in promoting Ghanaian songs internationally, because some of the the dancers have a wide range of diaspora funs, hence when dancers dance to a song automatically it goes internationally.

However, Incredible Zigi released a statement on his social media apologizing for the comment he made that Ghanaian artist sleeps while dancers promote their songs, he also clarified that his statement has been misinterpreted.

“I was recently interviewed on Ghana’s esteemed media outlet(Hitz FM) discussing the important topic of recognizing dancers on major entertainment platforms, given the vital role they play in promoting music.

Regrettably, it seems that my comments have been misunderstood, and I would like to clarify that we are all interconnected in the same creative family.

“I apologize for any offense caused and want to emphasize my respect for artists and the entire entertainment industry. Let’s celebrate each other’s talents and work together to create unforgettable art”. He said in his statement.
