Is Dancegod Llyod Mocking DWP?

DWP star Afronita made headlines on social media platforms when the Academy announced her departure from the team.

The official reason given by DWP was that she had to go because of personal reasons. But there are rumors that Afronita wants to start her dance school for kids, something she’s been passionate about for a while which could be the main reason. This has led to mixed opinions, with some saying she’s ungrateful.

Now, Dancegod Lloyd, who used to be in DWP and left last year, has said some things that make people wonder if he’s making fun of DWP for how they handled Afronita leaving.

In a video on TikTok, Dancegod Lloyd talked about Afronita’s dream of dancing with kids, especially those with hearing problems. This is true because Afronita has been seen training other kids and personally mentoring Abigail, the winner of the 14th season of TV3 Talented Kids, who has hearing impairment issues.

Dancegod Lloyd during the live video asked a pointed question: “If she’s doing all this, where’s the money?” Is he implying that Afronita is not making a dime as she is with DWP? Upon all ambassadorial deals, being on billboards, and other adverts she has been doing, is Dancegod implying she is getting nothing because the money goes to one person?

Dancegod leaving DWP was attributed to management issues and it was rumored that it involved money as well. So the question is, was he trying to tell us Afronita is leaving because of the same issue he had with DWP?

What Dancegod Lloyd said could also suggest that if Afronita is actively working on her dream, then leaving DWP might make sense, and everyone, including DWP, should understand.

Adding more confusion, Dancegod Lloyd posted a video of him and Afronita dancing together to a song. The caption said, “Reunited with my prodigal daughter.”

This also made people wonder if Afronita might join Dancegod Lloyd’s new dance group. The caption, along with Lloyd’s earlier comments, suggests he might be making fun of DWP.
