Amerade has confirmed that the relationship rumors between him and Delores Frimpong Manson, Delay, are not true. He said that during an interview on TV3 with Berla Mundi on New Day.
Derrick Sarfo Kantanka, also known by his stage name Amerado, is a rapper from Kumasi, Ghana. He met Delay in one of her interviews with him, and they have been friends since then.
He debunked the relationship rumors by saying that Delay only wanted to help him after she heard his story on her show. When asked by Berla Mundi if he was truly dating Delay for likes and fame, Amerado said there was nothing of the sort.
“It was organic, it was natural, she likes me. She’s willing to support my craft. There’s nothing like intentionally doing it for likes or hype, no no”
He further said that he believes it was his craft that paved the way for Delay to help him because she hardly opens up to people. He expressed his gratitude for the help Delay offered him.
“I think it was my craft, and I think it was more than that because Delay hardly opens up to people. You get it then, me being lucky to be closer to her means that she foresaw the future. So I feel like what she did for me goes beyond just liking someone, and I appreciate it a lot, and I reciprocated it.”
He disclosed he is a very shy person sometimes and told Berla Mundi they could probably be friends. Amerado wants to start another relationship trend with Berla Mundi but this one is a missed call.
