Kofi Kinaata Shares  How He Reacts To Criticism From Social Media Platforms

Ghanaian Highlife musician Kofi Kinaata, who is known for his peculiar and relatable lyrics in his music, shared his concerns over the criticism he receives on social media and how he responds to the notion that his effort is being underappreciated by fans.

In the competitive and constantly evolving music industry, artists pour their hearts and souls into creating music that connects with their fans. However, sometimes these efforts can go unnoticed or underappreciated, leaving them frustrated and disheartened.

Kofi Kinaata recently released his single “Effiakuma Love”, which has been making waves and trending on social media platforms and also performing well on streaming platforms.

In a recent interview on 3Music Awards, the Susuka hitmaker was quizzed by the host about whether he has ever experienced the frustration of not receiving recognition or being appreciated by fans. He stated that his music is always targeted at people who can relate to it.

“I don’t compose songs for FM stations or streaming platforms; I compose the song so whoever feels the song is great feels it. At least if the song can make an impact on six people, it is a sign the song is doing great”. He responded in Twi.

Speaking further, he said, “Whenever I go to my streams, people are listening to the song, and the comments on YouTube are also great ones. The criticism from others is meant to push agendas; they are just making noise. We are the ones doing the thing, we are the ones on the field”.

He went on to disclose that whenever he goes on a show, it baffles him when fans passionately react to songs he feels did not do well because they usually don’t play them on air.
