As for death, everyone will face it, but how it happens to some people is very strange and unanswerable.
A Liberian woman and her thirteen-year-old son were found dead in their self-contained rented apartment at Fete Kakraba in the Old cavity, Buduburam. The woman is said to be about the age of thirty-five old and lives alone with her son. People in the community know her as “Mummy”
She was a hairdresser and people often go to her to braid their hair. On Sunday, June 11th, 2023, the woman and her son informed their neighbors they were attending a birthday party happening at Liberian Camp, Kasoa.
They were then seen the following day(Monday) brushing their teeth in the morning after which they entered their house. That was the last time the neighbors saw them. Since she was a hairdresser, her customer realizing she hasn’t gone to the saloon to open came to her house to ask for her, but her neighbors claimed she went to her workplace.
They went knocking on her door but there was no response. People started getting worried when they started perceiving a stench coming from her window side with a lot of houseflies hovering around that area. This caused an alarm and made her neighbors call the police to check the reason for the houseflies and the strong stench.
Upon arrival to the scene, they forced to open the door only to find the woman and her thirteen-year-old son both dead in their house.
The reason for their death is yet be identified and the police couldn’t bring them out because according to them, they were waiting for the Town Council to come and spray the house before the bodies could be brought out (tradition demands it).
The question now is what could have happened to them? Did their death happen as a result of food poison or it was a murder case? If it was, then why would someone want to murder a woman her thirteen-year-old son? This is strange indeed.
