Nigerian musician and hitmaker Ahmed Ololade popularly known as Asake, reveals what actually inspired him to start his music career as he shared his story on ABC.
The Nigerian musician shared moments of his childhood, where he revealed that his music career was inspired by his parent who most of the time plays classical music at home for him.
In an interview with ABC, he revealed that his parents loved music so much that he was drawn to music. “My parents used to play me a lot of classical songs. They love listening to songs. The kind of father I have is the one that will wake up in the morning and have one cigarette then loud music.” the statement said.
He further went on to speak about his love for dance, according to Asake he was a dancer who had never wanted to be a musician and dance was his dream career that he wanted. “I actually don’t want to be a musician in the first place. I just wanted to dance. It feels like water. I love everything that comes with music.” He said.
But eventually, he started to develop love of having money as well. Asake shared his experience and stated he started singing after realizing dancing wouldn’t be able to earn him the money he desired. “At the end of the day, I feel like I can actually sing. Then I added music to it. Maybe because I know how to dance then I know how to bounce on music. But at the end of the day, after dancing I fell in love with having money too. Then I started thinking about it, is dance going to give me the kind of money I want?”
This is how Nigerian Musician Asake started doing music, and it has really landed him the fortune he desired today. Congratulations to him.
