Ghanaian singer Peter Famiyeh Bozah, also known as Fameye has slammed protestors criticizing him for not participating in the #OccupyJulorbiHouse demonstration.
In an interview on Bryt TV, Fameye shared that many of the protestors had different goals for attending the #OccupyJulorbiHouse. According to him many of them were not protesting for the government to fix the country or because of the hardship in the country.
In detailing his arguments he said many protestors were present to create content and post it on their various channels and social media handles for likes, comments, and views.
“They were critiquing me for not attending the protest, meanwhile, many of those who went, they went there to chase clout. Many people just went to get content to put on their channels,” he said.
The “Not God” hitmaker did not only slam protestors but also acknowledged that some of the protestors were genuinely protesting because of the current hardship of the economy of Ghana.
“Although some of those who went had genuine grievances, you could see that they were tired of the hardships in the county but you could see that many went there just to get content to het followers for their brand”
He, however, explained the reasons for his absence at the #OccupyJulorbiHouse protest as he stated that he has always been talking about the hardship of the country in his songs.
“I’m also tired of what’s going on. I’ve been complaining about the state of the country in my music, so it wasn’t necessary, he stated.
