Joyce Ijeoma a Nigerian masseuse went viral when she fainted in her attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest massage on different individuals.
After Hilda Baccie successfully broke the Guinness World Record for the cooking marathon 93 hours and 11 minutes, it ignited many other individuals to also break the Guinness World Record of different categories.
This follows Joyce Ijeoma, who made an attempt to embark on the longest massage Guinness World Record for different individuals. News circulating on the internet is that Joyce’s intention was to massage numerous people for 72 hours.
She started on 1 July 2023, with the aim of completing the intended hours of 72, however, it was rather unfortunate that the masseuse fainted in the process, after reportedly making it up to 50 hours.
A video that went viral sees Joyce fall on her knees as she was assisted by her assistant, with another individual on the set during a live video session.
This is evidence of how individuals embarking on breaking a record face immense pressure, both physically and mentally.
Alastair Galpin currently holds the record for the longest full-body massage at 25 hours and 4 minutes. It was held in South Kalimantan, Indonesia, in November 2015.
Despite Joyce’s fainting during her attempt, it is likely that she would be awarded by Guinness World Record for the longest massage.
