Not Everyone Is Called To Preach Repentance, The Pinnacle Of The Ministry Is To Exhort Jesus.- Perez Musik

Famous Ghanaian Gospel Musician Perez Musik, who won the Best Song Writer of the Year at the 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards shared an intriguing revelation about Gospel songs.

In a recent interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM the “Hewale” hitmaker shared was asked by Andy Dosty the reason why most Ghanaian gospel songs do not preach about repentance.

Perez stressed that, in the body of Christ, everyone plays a role, some were meant to preach repentance while others were meant to for other roles in the kingdom of God.

According to him, even though it is imperative to preach repentance in whatever Christians do, it is also important to notice that most Christian songs might not preach repentance, but they also exhort Jesus and at the end of the day, someone might be touched to repent.

In defense of his argument, he said it is written in the Bible that when you lift up to Jesus he will draw men to himself. And it is Jesus who saves, which implies exhorting Jesus in their songs is also important when it comes to the Kingdom of God.

“In the body of Christ, there is the head the ear hands, and the legs, every body has a role to play in the body of Christ in the ministry everybody has a role play I don’t think it necessary for everybody to preach the message of repentance I don’t think that has what everybody is called to do.

“My music is more of encouragement, if you don’t know Christ I preach Christ to you through the music I try to console your soul or the message in the song that consoles your soul.

“The pinnacle of the ministry is that Christ is exhorted, the most important thing is to exhort Jesus, he said if he is lifted up he will draw men to himself, so you can not say that I am preaching the message of repentance,

You can not preach repentance without Jesus. So you preach Jesus first and the conviction of the person does not come from your effort it comes from the person you are preaching. So you preach Jesus and by the help of the Holy Spirit, who will convince the person”. He said.
