For some time now, the argument on the best smartphones has moved past just Samsung and iPhone. New flagships from different brands have been introduced into this smartphone game and one great example of these new giants is the OnePlus Technology Company, the makers of the OnePlus phones.
OnePlus was founded in December 2013 by two Chinese men. The company officially launched its first device, the OnePlus One on 23rd April 2014. This was one of the few devices that was able to shift the public attention from the Google Nexus series which was also a popular Android phone as of 2014. Today, OnePlus has expanded its reach to over 34 countries in the global market and has successfully made a name for itself as one of the best smartphone brands in the world. Their new phone, the OnePlus 10 pro is already making waves in the smartphone market.
The OnePlus 10 pro was released on 11th January 2022 in China and is set to be released in global markets somewhere in March 2022. After impressing the whole world with their OnePlus9pro, they’ve come in hard this year too with their OnePlus 10 pro.
The new OnePlus pro comes in only two distinct colors, volcanic black, and emerald green. Going with a 6.7-inch gorilla glass QHD display, the new OnePlus smartphone is offering a 120Hz refresh rate which can dynamically scale down to 1Hz when a speedy refresh is not particularly necessary.
This new phone features a 48-megapixel main rear camera and a 50-megapixel shooter and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 3.3x optical zoom with 8k video recording at 30 frames per second (fps), 4k video recording at 30/60/120 fps, and 1080 pixels at 30/60/240 fps. What’s even more impressive is the 150-degree field of view option added to the ultrawide lens. The OnePlus 10 pro also comes with a 32-megapixel front camera which is seen as a great improvement from the 16-megapixel camera of their 9-pro. Coming with a screen resolution of 1440 x 3216 pixels, the new OnePlus smartphone has super-fast wireless charging abilities and can charge from zero to a hundred percent in just 47 minutes despite its large 5000 mAh battery.
The OnePlus 10 pro also features a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip which means faster performance and power efficiency than their previous flagship. In terms of memory, the 10 pro comes with 8GB RAM and 12GB RAM versions with either 128GB or 256GB internal storage, an in-display fingerprint reader and a face unlock feature. The OnePlus 10pro has 5G and runs on Android 12.1(upgradable).
The OnePlus 10 pro is expected to start between GHs 4,818 to GHs 5,857 in Ghana.

The OnePlus is an ideal phone to consider when it comes to budget-friendliness and great quality and should be patronized more in the Ghanaian market
