Social media platforms have given millions of people a voice, enabling them to communicate with others across the world about their ideas and opinions. This normalization of opinion-sharing has given rise to a norm where anyone may express their opinion on almost any topic, from politics and current affairs to entertainment and lifestyle preferences.
The Konogo-based fast-rising star, Black Sheriff, who just grabbed four plaques at the just-ended VGMA, including the most anticipated artist of the year, shares how he handles opinions from social media users on United Showbiz.
In an interview at United United Showbiz, the 2023 VGMA artist of the year was asked by the host if he sometimes feels social media users talk too much and does it affect his music career.
“No, no, no whenever I start using my phone and I realize that you[social media users] are talking too much I off my phone, you talk talk too much, I can’t lie to you. I have a screen timer on my phone. Because When I read the opinion, that is what will make me deep with what social media users are saying.”He said.
Speaking further, he shared that he wants to stay in touch with himself and his inspiration because he doesn’t want to lose anything. He also added that when reading much about the comments of social media users you end up living in their world.
