Samsung is rumored to be ready to release the next level of the S series during this year’s Galaxy unpacked event, the Galaxy S22 series which will comprise the galaxy S22, S22 plus+, and S22 ultra. The new Galaxy S22 is expected to supersede the popular S21 series, promising better specs and a slicker and satisfying design. Samsung is expected to launch the new S22 series during their popular tech event; Samsung Galaxy Unpacked part 2 on 9th February 2022.
A few months ago, Samsung officially announced that they had ceased the production of their popular note series. A few Samsung users were quite saddened and lamented over this loss. The note series was one of Samsung’s biggest creations. Samsung then decided to make their new Galaxy S22 ultra a hybrid between the S series and the Note series.
Galaxy S22 release date
The S22 release date is expected to be somewhere around February. Tipsters are predicting between the second week of February, preferably February 9 for the final release and preorder of the Galaxy S22 series to start.
Galaxy S22 Rumoured Features
The Samsung Galaxy S22 ultra will have a squarer edge and also come with an S pen just like their old note phones. The phone will also be seen to have a floating camera lens on the back instead of housing them in a separate camera block like its other S series. The Samsung Galaxy S22 series is rumored in varying colors including white, black, rose gold, green, and a new dark red while the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus will include a pink gold color instead of the rose gold.
Galaxy S22 OS, Storage, CPU
The Samsung Galaxy S22 series will come with the new 5G, which means we should be expecting better internet connectivity, a gorilla glass front and back, it might come with a single nano and/or eSIM slot or a dual nano-SIM slot. We should also be expecting a dynamic Amoled 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 6.8 inches display size. The phone series is expected to have a 1440 x 3200-pixel resolution and come with the android 12, One UI 4 operation system. The S22 series is rumored to have no SD card slot and varying RAM sizes of 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB with internal storage sizes of 128GB, 256 GB, 512GB, and 1TB.
This new Samsung Galaxy series is expected to come with a Qualcomm snapdragon 898 or an Exynos 2200 global chipset (depending on the country). We are more than likely expecting to have the Exynos 2200 for the ones released in the African/Ghanaian market.
Galaxy S22 Camera
The Samsung Galaxy S22 series will come with a 40 megapixel, 26mm wide selfie camera while the rear camera will have a 108-megapixel main, 12-megapixel ultrawide, 10-megapixel 3x telephoto, and a 10-megapixel 10x optical telephoto. The Samsung Galaxy S22 series is also rumored to come with an 8k recording with 24 frames per second (Fps), 4k video recording at 30/60 Fps, 1080 pixel recording at 30/60/240 Fps, and a 720-pixel recording at 960 Fps with quality stereo sound recording which means better video quality for recording Tiktok and YouTube videos.
Samsung Galaxy s22 price in Ghana
Top Insiders have revealed that Galaxy S22 series is expected to have a price increase of almost $100 affecting all three products. Meaning the starting price of the Galaxy S22 will be $899 ( GH₵ 5,641.22 ), the Galaxy S22 Plus starting at $1,099 (GH₵ 6,896.22), and the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultraprice coming in at $1,299( GH₵ 8,151.22).
