Ghana’s golden boy, Kidi, has once again aired his view on his song “I Lied” which got many Ghanaian and kidi’s fanbase worried and concerned about the health status of the artist.
The song, had so many rumors, with some saying the “Enjoyment” hitmaker is struggling with liver problems.
Kidi however, debunked the rumors and set the record straight that he is not having any liver issues in his subsequent interviews which follows the rumor.
However, in his recent interview with Andy Dosty, Kidi explained the main reason behind the song, he stated that the song is not meant for only him but for all Ghanaians who are going through a lot in their life, because many Ghanaians are still recovering from the 2019 COVID pandemic.
“I think people have forgotten that we have been through a pandemic, we lost like almost two years of our lives in that pandemic, and things came to a standstill, I think a lot of people even after the pandemic haven’t really recovered they are still trying to furnace through life and stuff. And in that last couple of years, every single person that I have spoken to everybody dey go through something”
“I realize a lot of people are going through things, a lot of people have undealt with issues, unhealed trauma, and PTSD from a lot of things and I decided to tap into that emotion that I was feeling personally at that time as well”. He stated.
According to him, an open challenge on the song “I Lied” made him realize a lot of Ghanaians are going through a lot and, opinioned for a national therapy center for Ghanaians.
“People are fighting secret battles that if you don’t go and ask you will never know, so I was like let me put this open verse, let people free their hearts and minds, and some of the things people did on the song I realize that Andy they have to open national therapy center for people. People need to heal and come to an acceptance and deal with their issues.” He said.
