It’s so disheartening at the rate at which robbery has become so high in this country. The youth are rather finding ways to survive by robbing others of their wages instead of getting their own jobs.
This follows a robbery attack that occured at Tarkwa, Western Region. Three suspects are detained by the police in Tarkwa, Western Region, for a robbery attack on a gold-buying establishment.
In connection with a robbery attack on a gold-buying store in Akoon-Tarkwa in the Western Region, the police have detained three suspects who made away with sum of money from their operation.
On April 18, 2023, the suspects Ezekiel Stephen Oghenekaro, Samuel Amoashie, and Fatawu Awudu, along with three other suspects, stormed the gold-buying shop and fled with an undisclosed sum of money.
Following the attack, the police conducted an operation against the gang the same day, and three of the suspects were captured in the nearby bush near the townships of Esuosu and Benso.
Three motorcycles and a fully loaded sack were found after they were searched in the forest with an unknown sum of money thought to be theirs from their raid on the store.
All of the accused were later brought before the Tarkwa District Court on April 21, 2023, and have been remanded into legal custody to appear again on May 3, 2023.
A police intelligence operation is presently underway to apprehend the remaining gang members so they may face justice, and we will undoubtedly succeed in doing so.
I must confess that the Takwa Police have really done well in their search and capture of the suspects.
