“Big Man Wahala” focuses on a corrupt government minister trying to escape after a coup d’état. He gets help from a taxi driver, and their journey reveals much about their lives and the events leading to the escape.
Away Bus, produced and directed by Kofi Asamoah and Peter Sedufia, is a film about a devoted mother and her daughters. Faced with a tough situation, the daughters make a difficult choice to support their mother.
Fix Us, directed by Pascal Amanfo and produced by Yvonne Nelson, is a film about three women who want to be famous. They hit it off during an audition and became famous, but yet feel that something is lacking from their life. At the Ghana Movie Awards, the film took home many prizes.
The film “Sidechic Gang,” which was produced and directed by Oldfilm Productions and starred Peter Sedufia, centers on three ladies who quit their careers to start a company that exposes partners who cheat. Their largest task is to investigate the fiancée of a wealthy guy, despite resistance from disgruntled men who profit from side chicks.
Shirley Frimpong Manso is the director of the 2017 Ghanaian-Nigerian love comedy Potato Potahto. It centers on a divorced couple who are compelled to remain together in the same home. When they hire alluring help from the other sex, crazy things happen.
“My Very Ghanaian Wedding” is a romantic comedy about a Ghanaian man engaged to a woman chosen by his mother but falls in love with a stranger at a wedding. The story unfolds over a weekend, focusing on the relationships and cultural differences among a group of friends.
In “Keteke,” which Peter Sedufia directed, the 1980s are setting. It centers on Atswei, a pregnant lady, and her husband Boi, who fails to catch the train back to her village. They leave on an unplanned journey across Ghana’s rural areas in search of other ways to get about.
