Two Employees Of Pizzaman Jailed 5 Years For Stealing.

Christian Boakye Yiadom, the CEO of Pizzaman and Chickenman have been critized by Abeiku Santa for arresting and jailing two of his workers for allegedly stealing vegetable oil and 20 cartons of chicken wings from his warehouse located at Nyankyerenease.

According to the prosecuting attorney, ASP Jonas Newlove Adjei, who testified before the court, which was presided over by H/H Fred Obekyere Esq. On May 1, 2023, the executive chef of Pizzaman, received a call from his warehouse manager informing him that two (2) containers of Oki cooking oil and eight (8) boxes of chicken wings were missing from the warehouse.

He immediately called for an emergency meeting, and after a thorough investigation, one Rashid Abdullah confessed that he saw Seidu Karim hoarding some cooking oil and two boxes of chicken wings in the backyard of the warehouse.

The items were recovered from them, and they were later arrested by the Asuoyeboah police, after which further investigations were conducted.

Seidu Karim admitted to stealing 20 liters of Oki cooking oil from the business over a two-month period. During the course of the investigations.

The accused were charged with theft and were given a jail term of five years each to serve by the Kwadaso Circuit Court.

This news has caused many netizens to show their displeasure and sympathize with the accused person. Radio and TV presenter Abeiku Santana has also shown his concern and voiced his opinion on the situation.

He said he is very disappointed in the owner of the Chickenman company, who happens to be an advocate for youth. He condoned the acts done by the accused but also felt much displeased for sentencing them to serve five years in prison.

“And this pizza man parades himself as the youth leader as so and so fort, and your workers stole 20 cartons of chicken wings, and you jailed them for fives, what sense does it make?”

He further went on to say that if the workers stole from him, he should have just deducted the money from their salaries rather than jailing them for five years. “You’re not a guy,” he added.
