Loving someone with every bit of you and later becoming strangers after a breakup is one of the most painful things to experience in our lives. Some people get lucky in a relationship. They meet, go on dates, court, and end up in marriage, while others do not even last for six months in a relationship.
The most painful thing after a breakup is missing the other partner and the moments you shared together. The promises, future plans, number of kids, and thoughts of a happy ending together.
It’s really heartbreaking to wake up one day only to realize the other wants to quit because they do not see a future together with you. They feel you both are not compatible, they’ve met someone else, or they just can’t continue with the relationship anymore. Yeah, I know it hurts and you wish it never ended that way, but here are some ways to overcome heartbreak.
Crying doesn’t make you a weaker person or a failure. As humans, we cry to show emotions, which also means that we also have feelings. So cry out your pain and pour your heart out. Sometimes, crying makes us stronger and better people. It helps us forget about the pain we go through.
While crying, don’t forget to eat something. You need that energy and strength to be healthy. Don’t starve for someone who isn’t worth it. Eat well, and sleep well. You need that strength to move on and focus on what lies ahead of you. Eat your favorite food, drink your favorite juice, and have a good sleep. The eyes need to rest.
Why keep things that will bring back memories of someone you want to forget? Delete everything that will bring you back to memories, including pictures, videos, and, if possible, contacts, so you shouldn’t be tempted to call them when you miss them. Remember, they’re in your past, and revisiting your past is like going back to square one. Don’t let the past slow you down.
Ask yourself why they left and work on it. Well, some people leave without any reason, but that shouldn’t stop you from working on yourself. Life is too short to waste all your energy on one person. While doing all these things, never forget to have fun. Spoil yourself, take yourself out on a date (masturdating), and enjoy your life.
To crown it all, show enough love to yourself because you come first. Don’t rush into another relationship. Take your time and build your mental health. It matters too, you know. Be happy, laugh, and don’t look down upon yourself. The best things are yet to come. Someone, somewhere, is praying to have someone like you for marriage. So, as you’re waiting, show much love to yourself, because if you love yourself enough, you will have more love for anyone coming to you.
There’s much love for everyone. The fact that you broke up with your current partner doesn’t mean that love is scum or that love is not real. True love still exists, and I will advise you not to give up on love yet. Love is a beautiful thing when it comes from the right person.
These are the five ways to overcome heartbreak. I wish you all the best in practicing it. Let me know if
