Apple rolls out updates for their users every time to solve issues associated with their previous releases. The latest major version of the iOS is the iOS 14 which was released on September 16 2020 byApple Inc. Since then minor releases of their OS are being released to fix bugs and do maintenance on their previous updates. The iOS 14.1, 14.2, 14.3, 14.4, and the latest one in the beta stage the iOS 14.5. A much-enhanced privacy policy
The iOS 14.5 when released will require apps to ask you know and accept all their permissions before you can tap the download button to download, this started with the iOS 14.3. This way you can know all the permissions the app has in tracking or collecting any kind of data.
An update to Siri to enable Siri to call 911.
The iOS 14.5 will feature a new update that will allow Siri to call 911 for an emergency. You can now say “Hey Siri call 911” and Siri will make the call, you can have 3 seconds to cancel the call before it is made.
Over 200 new emojis
Apple introduces over 200 new emojis to its iOS 14.5 update. This includes new skin tones, extra emojis like the heart on fire, faces exhaling, and a variety of updates on old emojis. Like the syringe emoji, the blood is removed to depict vaccines and a new apple and apple headphone to replace the old headset.
Select other music players as default players
If Apple music is not your favorite music app, but other ones like Spotify, Audiomack. etc. are your favorite, iOS 14.5 allows you to make changes and use Siri to play music from those apps rather than playing from apple music. The first time you ask Siri to play something, it will ask you to select from the list where you want to play from. After selection, that becomes the main music player from Siri, if you ask Siri to play your music.
Allows you to unlock your phone in your facemask
Users who are using face unlocked phones are having difficulties to login into their phones with their facemasks on. This is because Apple did not anticipate the COVID-19 pandemic where everyone must put on a facemask. The face unlock cannot work because users are in the facemask. iOS 14.5 will fix this issue for you to unlock your iPhone with you in the facemask. Unfortunately, this works alongside the Apple watch, thus, only owners of the apple watch can use this feature.
If the update of the iOS 14.5 is rolled out and available, you can update it by;

This will connect to the apple servers and prompt you to download and install the update (iOS 14.5).
