WhatsApp group admins will now be able to delete WhatsApp messages for everyone in group chats

WABetaInfo has announced that WhatsApp is working on a new update that will allow group admins to delete WhatsApp messages for other group members. This feature, which is currently available on Telegram Messenger, will add extra functionality to WhatsApp group chats.

According to WABetaInfo, group members will see “This message was deleted by an admin” whenever a group admin deletes a WhatsApp message for everyone.

This update, according to insiders, is welcoming news as they believe this will be a valuable tool for Whatsapp group admins to exercise restraints whenever a group member tries to send inappropriate or irrelevant Messages to the WhatsApp group.

Although the date for the release of this feature is unknown, WhatsApp users all over the world have already given this feature a thumbs up and are keenly waiting for this feature to be rolled out.

As soon as the update is ready and rolled out, whenever a WhatsApp Admin tries to delete messages for everyone, they will be asked to confirm or cancel the on-screen alert first.

“As an admin, you are deleting someone else’s message for everyone in this group chat. They will see that you deleted the message.”

WhatsApp is also planning on extending the time in which you can use to delete a message for everyone to 2days and 12 hours which will also be available in future updates.

Will this functionality be helpful?

Yes, this functionality will be very useful for WhatsApp groups where individuals send obscene messages and are removed from the group. This way, admins are able to delete previous messages they sent to the group.

I’ve installed the latest WhatsApp update, but I still can’t delete Messages for everyone in a group.

Yes, this feature is still under development and is not yet available for beta testers.

Is this feature available on iOS or Android?

No, WhatsApp is still working on this feature, and it will be rolled out soon on WhatsApp for iOS, Android, and web.
